Sarah Bolger

Sarah Bolger is an Irish actress born on February 28, 1991, in Dublin, Ireland. She gained recognition for her roles in film and television, both in Ireland and internationally.
Bolger's acting career began at a young age when she appeared in the Irish television series "The Clinic" at the age of 10. Her breakthrough role came in 2002 when she portrayed Christy in the film "In America," directed by Jim Sheridan. Her performance in the film earned her critical acclaim and several award nominations, including a Critics' Choice Movie Award nomination for Best Young Actress.
She continued to work in both film and television, starring in projects such as "Stormbreaker" (2006), "The Spiderwick Chronicles" (2008), and "Emelie" (2015). Bolger also appeared in the television series "The Tudors" (2008-2010), where she played the role of Princess Mary Tudor.
In recent years, Bolger has appeared in several notable television series. She portrayed Princess Aurora in the fantasy series "Once Upon a Time" (2012-2018) and starred as Emily Thomas in the crime drama series "Into the Badlands" (2015-2019). She also appeared in the historical drama series "The Borgias" (2011-2013), playing the character of Princess Mary Tudor once again.

Childhood and education.
Bolger was raised in the Southside neighborhood of Rathfarnham. He was born in Dublin to parents Derek, a butcher, and Monica, a housewife. [1][4] Emma, her younger sister, has since pursued a career in academia while also acting. [5].


From 2003 to 2009, Bolger attended Loreto High School in Beaufort and took courses at Ann Kavanagh's Young People's Theatre. In an interview with the Irish Independent from 2011, she discussed how her late grandparents encouraged her to become a Catholic and her work as a communion minister at her local church. [8].


Career.
With her sister Emma, Bolger co-starred in the film In America. In The Tudors, she played Princess Mary Tudor from 2008 to 2010. [1] Bolger and Alex Pettyfer co-starred in Stormbreaker. She also starred in the movie version of the children's book The Spiderwick Chronicles. She shot the Locke and Key pilot. [9].


The fairy tale drama Once Upon a Time featured a cameo by Bolger as Princess Aurora in its second, third, and fourth seasons. [10].


Bolger portrayed Umi, the female lead, in the English-language adaptation of Studio Ghibli's From Up on Poppy Hill in 2011 and portrayed Lucy in the 2013 film As Cool as I Am. She appeared on the television program Mixology in 2014. [11] Bolger co-starred in the suspenseful movie The Lazarus Effect directed by David Gelb. [12].


She appeared in two films in 2015: the Freddie Steinmark biopic My All American and the AMC martial arts series Into the Badlands.


She played the title role in the horror movie Emelie in 2016.


Bolger was reportedly set to star in the Abner Pastoll-directed crime drama A Good Woman Is Hard to Find in March 2017, according to Deadline Hollywood. The movie will be released in 2019. [13] Filming was finished in December 2017.

Bolger was chosen in January 2011 to appear in photographer Kevin Abosch's project "The Face of Ireland"[15] alongside other Irish stars like Sinead O'Connor, Neil Jordan, and Pierce Brosnan. [16].
