 Establishment and Early Years (1994–1997): In July 1994, Jeff Bezos founded Amazon . Com in Bellevue, Washington. Bezos had the vision of an enormous selection of books that could be bought online, so it initially started as an online bookstore. In 1995, the business unveiled its website, which quickly gained popularity for its intuitive layout and sizable book selection. 
 


 Growth and Diversification (1998-2000): In 1998, Amazon started selling more items than just books, such as music, electronics, and toys. The firm's aggressive growth strategy included the purchase of businesses like IMDb (Internet Movie Database) and a small stake in Drugstore. Com. Amazon had expanded to serve customers all over the world by the end of 1999 and was a significant force in the e-commerce sector.
